Photo CD Vol. 24, Truck Stop 4

A Truck Photographer’s Diary, Truck Stop 4, is a photo album on Compact Disc featuring truck photos that is intended to provide historic photographic documentation of trucks from a bygone era, the late-1950s and early-1960s. There are nineteen photos from 1965-1971.

The album contains 92 images, mostly black and white with some color photos. Most of the photos were taken by author David A. Bontrager, who is well-known for his classic and unique images of trucks and trains from the 1950s through the present day. This is an excellent sampling of his private collection of truck photos.

All photos are in pristine condition and will view excellently on screen. Some may be less than perfect, but I feel the historic value of the trucks shown out weighs the technical aspects of the photo.

Trucking was much different in the Fifties and Sixties than it is today. Not only was the industry different during the regulation era, but the equipment, technology, and even the people were different. The documentation contained herein focuses on the equipment.
