Grain Haulers 2
A Truck Photographer’s Diary, Vol. 51–Grain Haulers 2, is the second in a series of CD photo albums featuring photos of grain trucks.
The 150 photos were taken by author David A. Bontrager, his wife Anna Bontrager, and former trucking partner Bill Arseneau. Dave is well-known for his classic and unique images of trucks from the 1950s through the present day. This is an excellent sampling of Dave’s private collection of truck photos.
All photos by Mrs. Bontrager and Mr. Arseneau were used with permission.
The photos in this album were taken in 2007 and 2008 in Indiana, Illinois, and various areas of the West.
Times have changed for getting good photos of trucks in truck stops due to the tight parking, making it extremely difficult getting clean views. Most of the photos in this album are action shots, with most being close-up views. The photos are beautiful clean shots with a nice background.
The images are in pristine condition and will view excellently on screen. A few may be slightly less than perfect, but I feel the historic value of the trucks shown out weighs the technical aspects of the photo.
